Who it is for

Business and personal in one place

For business owners, business and personal finances overlap, and that is exactly where things get interesting from a tax point of view. Your car, your home, your pension, your box 3 assets: it is all connected to what happens in your business.

That is why we do both returns for you as standard. That way we see the whole picture and can make adjustments where the rules allow. If we only did your business return, we would be missing half the picture.

Deadlines

Never miss a deadline again

We keep an eye on your filing deadlines and request extensions where needed. As a NOAB firm, we have an extension arrangement with the Tax Administration, which allows your income tax return to be filed spread over the year instead of before 1 May.

You will hear from us when we need something from you. You do not have to keep track of anything yourself.

Objections

Disagree with an assessment?

We file an objection for you and discuss it with the tax inspector. This has to be done within six weeks of the date of the assessment, so do not wait. If we cannot reach an agreement with the inspector, we will support you in an appeal before the tax court.

Transparent about costs

What it costs

If we do your bookkeeping, your VAT returns and your income tax or corporate income tax return are included in the fixed monthly fee. You pay nothing extra for them.

Only want your tax return done? That is possible too. A one-off return costs from 150 euros, and you know the amount before we start.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about our firm

Want to know something else? Call us and you will get an answer straight away.

What happens if I file my return late?

The Tax Administration will impose a late filing penalty, which increases if it happens more often. For a late income tax or corporate income tax return, this quickly amounts to a few hundred euros, and many times that for repeat offences. If you are late, let us know instead of waiting. We can often still arrange an extension or ask for the penalty to be reduced.

Which tax returns do I have to file as a business owner?

That depends on your legal form. With a sole proprietorship and/or general partnership, you file an income tax return plus VAT returns. With a bv, the company files corporate income tax and VAT returns, and you as director-shareholder also file an income tax return. If you have staff, payroll tax returns are added to that.

Are bookkeeping costs tax-deductible?

Yes, the costs of your business administration and tax returns are fully deductible from your profit. If you are registered for VAT, you can also reclaim the VAT we charge. So, net, a bookkeeper costs you considerably less than the amount on the invoice.

When is my tax return due?

The income tax return is in principle due before 1 May, and the corporate income tax return within five months of the end of the financial year. Our extension arrangement with the Tax Administration gives you plenty of extra time. VAT returns are filed monthly or quarterly, within one month of the end of the period.

I have not filed a return for years. Can you help?

Yes, and the sooner you call, the better. We can file returns retrospectively and agree a payment arrangement with the Tax Administration. Doing nothing is almost always more expensive than putting it right, because late filing penalties keep adding up.

Do you also do personal tax returns?

Yes, including for your partner and children. For business owners that makes sense, because your business and personal situations are connected from a tax point of view.
