Privacy statement of Van Driel Finance

We will always treat your data confidentially

At Van Driel Finance, we think it is extremely important that your data is handled properly. That is why this text explains which data we collect and why. And also what you can do if you do not agree. We have tried to keep it as simple as possible. We always treat your data confidentially. That is the most important thing you will read here. All information is stored securely and is only accessible to the people who need it. We do this by implementing technical, security and organisational measures. This prevents the wrong people from doing the wrong things with your data.

What do we collect and why?

We collect personal data from prospects, clients and visitors to our website, or when you visit us. Nothing exciting: basically, we do this because we want to serve you and others as well as possible.

We may keep one or more of the following:

  • First and last name: so we can address you properly
  • Job title: so we know better which information, tips and events are relevant to you
  • Organisation name and department
  • Phone numbers: so we can contact you if necessary
  • Email and social media addresses: also for getting in touch
  • Photo: if you have uploaded one to our portal
  • Data required by law to carry out our work: citizen service number (BSN), date of birth and the financial data of your administration

If you would like more information about the personal data Van Driel Finance may have collected about you, please contact us. In many cases you have access to a portal where you can view, change and even delete the data collected.

We only share your data when this is necessary for our work, for example with the Tax Administration when we file a return for you, or when the law requires it. We never sell your data. And we do not keep it longer than necessary or than the law requires. For administration and tax returns, that is usually seven years.

What we track on our website

Let us start with the most important point: on our website we do not keep visitor statistics, we do not show adverts and we do not follow you on other websites. That is why we do not ask you to accept cookies.

Which cookies do we use and what for?

We only use cookies and storage that are needed to make the website work properly and securely. No consent is required for this.

  • _cfuvid (Cloudflare): Cloudflare secures our website and uses this cookie to tell apart visitors who share the same internet address. The cookie disappears when you close your browser.
  • Spam check on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile): this checks whether a human is filling in the form and stores a small code in your browser to do so.

You can of course disable cookies in your browser settings. The forms may then not work properly.

Forms

If you fill in a form on our website, we receive your name, company name, email address, phone number and your message. If you request an introduction, we also ask what we can help you with, the legal form of your business, the number of employees, your annual turnover and whether you already have a bookkeeper. We only use this data to contact you and make you a proposal. If you do not become a client, we delete your request within a year.

Other parties behind our website

Our website and forms run on Webflow. Cloudflare secures the website. Webflow and Cloudflare, like the servers that deliver some parts of the website (such as scripts), see your IP address and technical data, such as which browser you use. This is necessary to send the pages to you.

The fonts come from Google Fonts. Google sees your IP address but does not place cookies.

The news and brochures are loaded from the servers of the supplier who produces them for us. This supplier also sees your IP address but does not place cookies.

Webflow, Cloudflare and Google are American companies. They participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. According to the European Commission, your data is adequately protected as a result.

Your rights

You may always view, correct or delete your data, unless we are legally required to keep it. You may also object to its use, have its use restricted, receive your data in a file and withdraw any consent you have given. We respond within one month.

Do you disagree with how we handle your data? Let us know and we will find a solution together. You may also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
