Bookkeeping

Hand over your bookkeeping

We do the bookkeeping for business owners in the Rotterdam region. You send us your invoices, we do the rest: bookkeeping, VAT returns, interim figures and, at the end of the year, the annual accounts. Every quarter you know exactly how your business is doing.

What we do

What we take care of

We take over all of your bookkeeping, or just the part you never get round to.

  • Processing invoices

Recording and monitoring purchase and sales invoices.

  • Bank reconciliation

Processing bank transactions and reconciling them with your books.

  • VAT returns

Monthly or quarterly, always filed on time.

  • Interim figures

So you do not have to wait until May to find out how last year went.

  • Annual accounts

Prepared and filed with the Chamber of Commerce.

  • Credit control

We keep track of who still has to pay, if you want us to.

  • Setting up your administration

When you are just starting out or switching from another firm.

How it works

Digital, but with a real person beside you

We work with AFAS, Exact, SnelStart and Zenvoices. You take a photo of a receipt or forward an invoice, and it is in your administration within a day. You can log in at any time to see where you stand.

For us, working digitally does not mean you end up talking to a chatbot. You have one fixed point of contact who knows your business. If you get stuck, you call. And if you would like to visit our office in Rhoon, you are very welcome.

Annual accounts

Have your annual accounts prepared

We prepare your annual accounts and file them with the Chamber of Commerce. Filing is mandatory for a private limited company (bv), even without staff, and the deadline is twelve months after the end of the financial year. If you are late, the director can be held personally liable.

We make sure everything is ready on time and go through the figures with you. Not just what they say, but what they mean: where your margin is, where costs are rising and what you can do differently next year.

Switching

Switching from your current bookkeeper

Switching takes almost none of your time. We request your file from your current bookkeeper, a standard procedure they are required to cooperate with.

You sign one authorisation and we handle the rest. You can switch at any time, even halfway through the financial year. We pick up your administration from where your previous firm left off.

Transparent about costs

What it costs

With us you pay a fixed amount each month. No billing by the hour, no extra bill in December. What you pay depends on three things: how many invoices pass through each month, whether you have staff, and whether you are a sole trader or a private limited company (bv).

For a sole trader without staff, prices start at €100 per month. We work out the amount for you in the introductory meeting, and it is then fixed for the whole year.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about our firm

Want to know something else? Call us and you will get an answer straight away.

What is a normal price for a bookkeeper?

In the Netherlands, monthly packages for a sole trader range roughly from 75 to 250 euros, and for a bv from 150 to 500 euros. Hourly rates are usually between 60 and 100 euros. That is a wide range, because it depends entirely on how much work your administration involves. So ask for a price based on your own figures, not a rate from a brochure.

Can I not just do my bookkeeping myself?

You can; there is no legal obligation to hire a bookkeeper. Most business owners who do it themselves spend a day a month on it and miss deductions a bookkeeper would spot straight away. And once you have staff or a bv, doing it yourself quickly becomes risky.

What is the difference between a bookkeeper and an auditor?

A bookkeeper keeps your records and prepares your annual accounts; an auditor checks annual accounts and issues a statement on them. That statement is only mandatory for larger companies. For the vast majority of SMEs, an accounting firm like ours is exactly what you need, and it saves considerably on costs.

How long do I have to keep my records?

Seven years, counted from the end of the financial year. For records relating to real estate, it is ten years. We store your digital records for you.

Can I have just my annual accounts prepared?

Yes. If you keep your own books and only want to outsource the annual accounts and the tax return, we can do that. We will check that your bookkeeping is in order, though, because that is where everything starts.

How soon can you take me on?

Usually within a week. If you have a deadline from the Tax Administration, let us know and we will get started sooner.
